HEARING RELATIONAL TRUTH

Picture

From the very first pages of Scripture, we see God revealing Himself not just as Creator, but as relational. In the mystery of the Trinity — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — we see One God who exists in perfect love, fellowship, and unity within Himself. This same God, out of His great love, created humanity in His image, inviting us into that fellowship. Even after sin entered the world, God continued to pursue His people, ultimately sending His Son to restore what was lost. Understanding God as One in Three Persons helps us grasp not only who He is, but who we were meant to be — children in relationship with our Creator, redeemed through the work of the Son, and guided by the Spirit.

As Basil said so beautifully, “Every divine action begins from the Father, proceeds through the Son, and is completed in the Holy Spirit.” From creation to salvation to the sustaining of all things, we see the perfect unity and harmony within the Godhead. This God — Father, Son, and Spirit — is the living God who deserves all our praise. He invites us not only to know Him, but to enter into the divine fellowship of love that has existed from all eternity.

True Beauty

As children, we naturally marvel at the beauty of the world -- the night sky, the
intricate design of a flower, the gentle rhythm of the seasons. The Bible reminds
us that this wonder is not misplaced, but rooted in divine truth. By faith, we
understand that the universe was not an accident, but the result of God's command.
Creation speaks -- to those willing to see -- of a Creator who delights in beauty,
order, and life. Just as Abel saw his need for God's mercy and approached Him by
faith, so too can we look at the world around us and perceive the hand of the One
who made all things, calling us back into relationship with Him.

Becoming Like Children of Faith

In Matthew 18:3, Jesus tells His disciples, “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.” This doesn’t mean we become childish, but rather that we recapture the wonder, trust, and openness that children naturally possess. Children receive the world around them — from the smallest flower to the vast sky — with wide-eyed amazement and joy. They do not yet have the pride that seeks to explain away God’s handiwork, nor the cynicism that doubts His goodness. They marvel at what they see, and they instinctively believe that someone greater must have made it all.

Even after the fall, when sin clouded humanity’s spiritual vision, creation still whispers to us about the Creator. Romans 1:20 declares that “since the creation of the world, God’s invisible qualities — his eternal power and divine nature — have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made.” This means that anyone who is willing to look with humble, childlike eyes can still perceive God’s fingerprints in the world around them.

When parents fail us, God is there, but we must turn to Him. The truths of Psalm 27:1-14 speak of a deeper relationship with the One who truly cares for our souls. "For my father and my mother have forsaken me, But the Lord will take me up. Teach me Thy wqy , O LORD, And lead me in a level path, Because of my foes"(Psalm 27:10-11).

Faith in God — especially the faith that comes through new birth in Christ — helps to restore that childlike vision. When our spirits are made alive again through faith, we begin to see creation not just as scenery, but as a testimony. The sky, the trees, the birds, even the seasons — all proclaim the story of a Creator who loves us, sustains us, and invites us back into relationship with Him. The more we trust, the more we see.

God the Father Sends His Beloved Son

 Righteousness & Peace
Are Found in Jesus

In the fullness of time, God sent His Son into the world, fulfilling the promises spoken through the prophets long before His birth. Isaiah declared that a child would be born to us, a Son given, and that the government would rest upon His shoulders. This was no ordinary child — He would be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. In sending Jesus, God revealed not only His great love, but His perfect plan to reconcile the world to Himself. Jesus came as both King and Servant, fully God and fully man, the One who would bear our sin and establish a kingdom of righteousness and peace that will have no end.

Jesus Sends the Holy Spirit

Being Fruitful Comes by
Being Led By The Holy Spirit

Before His crucifixion, Jesus comforted His disciples with the promise that though He would soon leave them, they would not be left alone. He would send the Holy Spirit, the Helper, to be with them forever (John 15:26). The Spirit would come directly from the Father, bearing witness to Jesus, guiding them into all truth, and reminding them of everything He taught. The Holy Spirit would also convict the world concerning sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8). In this way, Jesus assured His followers that His physical absence would be filled with the very presence of God within them — the Spirit of truth empowering them to live for Him, to bear fruit, and to proclaim the good news to the world.
