expect opposition
When you begin to turn toward Jesus, don’t be surprised if resistance follows. The world, the flesh, and the devil all work against the soul that seeks God. Old habits may pull at you. Doubts may rise. Even people close to you — friends or family — may not understand your desire to follow Christ. That’s because sin, darkness, and unbelief separate and divide us — from God, from our true selves, and from one another. Jesus said, "The gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few" (Matthew 7:14). But opposition is not a sign that you're on the wrong path — it's often proof that you're drawing closer to the truth. In the face of resistance, press in. God is faithful. He will not leave you alone on the journey.
"Turn away from evil and do good;
seek peace and pursue it."
Psalms 34:14 ESV
Will You Pray ?
"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14 KJV
